Once upon a time, in a land far, far away (actually it's just some university down south in Johore), lived a young lady called Pei Lynn. She was sweet, honest, healthy, kind, and had a heart of gold. She was beautiful, too, but from where she came from, there were plenty of beautiful women.

Having to vie with so many other women for the affections of young men, Pei Lynn was often on the wrong side of luck. Sure, she had her fair share of admirers, but they weren't usually the type she fancied. And the ones she admired were either taken or gay.

One day, sick of the lack of worthy suitors in her land, Pei Lynn being a young woman of the new millennium, decided to take matters into her own hands. "There's no point sitting here waiting for my knight in shining armour to come sweeping me off my feet, when all I might do is fall flat on my face," she declared. "It is I who have to shape my own destiny. It is up to me to go out there and look for that special someone, and claim him as my own."
